About
Maryam Aryafar
Executive Coach · ICF PCC · Miami, FL

I work with leaders who want to become more effective. Not by adding new techniques, but by building the self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and internal capacity to lead with intention and impact.
Most of the leaders I work with are already good at what they do. What they are missing is not information. It is the space to think clearly, someone who will tell them the truth, and a strategic partner who has sat in enough rooms to know which question is the one worth asking.
My job is not to drive for you. It is to help you see the map more clearly, and to work from the strengths you already have rather than the ones you think you should have.
Unlock your potential. Lead from within. Become the leader only you can be.

Credentials, as lived capability
Each of these was earned before it was used. The research training is why Maryam looks for what is driving a pattern rather than its most visible expression, and the EQ certifications are why the inner work of leadership becomes measurable instead of a matter of opinion.
Professional Certified Coach, the gold-standard coaching credential. Currently pursuing MCC.
Certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner (self-report).
360-degree emotional intelligence assessment certification.
Master of Science in Industrial / Organizational Psychology.
Delivery in English and Farsi.
Authority is quieter than people expect.
Every other credential can be earned. This one was lived.
Maryam rebuilt her own life across countries and languages, twice. Moving countries strips you down to what is actually yours: language, status, the sense of knowing where you fit. She came out of it knowing what real authority looks like, and how much of it people already hold without recognizing it. That is what she works to surface in everyone she coaches, whether or not they have ever moved anywhere.

What guides the work.
01
Support
Nothing changes in a room that doesn't feel safe. Maryam builds that room first: somewhere you can say the quiet thing out loud and think without performing. Not softness. Safety paired with honest challenge, because you can't grow where everything you say is agreed with.
02
Growth
This goes deeper than new tactics. Shift how you see yourself and the decisions, the composure and the way people read you all move with it. Clients rarely say they learned a skill. They say they think differently now.
03
Agency
Maryam starts from the belief that you are creative, resourceful, and whole. You already hold more of the answer than you think, and her work isn't to hand you hers, it's to help you hear your own. The awareness you build there becomes action you choose, and the direction is always yours.
04
Respect
Respect shows up as a clear line. Maryam honors that you're the expert on your own work and life. That boundary isn't distance. It's what makes the trust possible.
A strategic partner, not a consultant.
A consultant gives you the answer. A coach helps you find your own. Maryam does the second, on purpose. She has sat in the rooms: executives at Disney, teams at Warner Bros., leaders across global companies. That experience means she knows the questions worth asking. It doesn't mean she'll hand you a playbook. Advice fades the moment the room changes. Awareness, once you have it, can't be unheard.
Call it a broker of knowledge. Thousands of hours across industries and continents mean she carries the patterns, the research and the frameworks, and knows which one your situation actually calls for. You get the strategist's range and the coach's discipline: everything she brings is put in service of your thinking, never in place of it.
What that means in practice.
Coaching is
- A partnership in awareness: you doing the work, guided.
- Discovering your own answers, in your own words.
- Building the most important relationship you have, the one with yourself.
- One coach who knows your whole story, across the whole journey.
- Openness, honesty, and commitment.
Coaching is not
- Therapy. We work forward from where you are, not back through your past.
- Consulting. No strategy deck, no “here's what to do.”
- Mentoring. This isn't “do what I did.”
- A program. No handoffs, no sub-coaches, no one-size playbook.
- Shortcuts, or someone else telling you what to think.
If you have read this far, something here probably landed. That is usually the signal worth following.
You don't need to arrive with the problem named and tidy. Come with what you want and where you feel stuck. Thirty minutes is enough to know whether this is right.
