GPS COACHING
Two chairs set for a one-to-one conversation

Values

Held to more than good intentions.

Anyone can call themselves a coach. The word is not protected, and nobody has to answer to anyone for it. Maryam is an ICF Professional Certified Coach, which means an actual code with actual obligations sits underneath everything below.

How the practice runs

What she is bound to.

Three of these are hers, and one body of professional ethics stands behind them. Where the ICF Code of Ethics is doing the work, this page cites the standard, so you can read it yourself rather than take her word for it.

01

Confidentiality

What is said in the room stays in the room. The ICF Code of Ethics puts it first, at Standard 2.1: the strictest level of confidentiality with everyone involved, including whoever is paying for the coaching. It is also the plain reason the client voices on this site carry a role and a company but never a name. People told her those things in confidence, and confidence does not expire because a quote would look good on a website.

02

Integrity

She says what she will do, and she does it. She is equally straight about what coaching is not. The ICF code requires her to say so when she is working in some other capacity (Standard 3.7), and to claim nothing about coaching she cannot stand behind (5.2). It also asks her to recognize the limits of her own practice (4.2). You hear that early rather than late: she will tell you plainly if she is not the right person, instead of selling you six months of the wrong work.

03

Kindness

The credentials say she is qualified. They do not say what it is like to sit across from her. Clients meet a person first, in a room where nothing has to be performed. That holds outside the sessions too: in how she answers an inquiry, how she handles a difficult conversation, and how she treats someone when the answer is no.

How the coaching goes

What guides the work.

The first set is about how Maryam runs a practice. This set is about what happens once you are in the room.

01

Support

Nothing changes in a room that doesn't feel safe. Maryam builds that room first: somewhere you can say the quiet thing out loud and think without performing. Not softness. Safety paired with honest challenge, because you can't grow where everything you say is agreed with.

02

Growth

This goes deeper than new tactics. Shift how you see yourself and the decisions, the composure and the way people read you all move with it. Clients rarely say they learned a skill. They say they think differently now.

03

Agency

Maryam starts from the belief that you are creative, resourceful, and whole. You already hold more of the answer than you think, and her work isn't to hand you hers, it's to help you hear your own. The awareness you build there becomes action you choose, and the direction is always yours.

04

Respect

Respect shows up as a clear line. Maryam honors that you're the expert on your own work and life. That boundary isn't distance. It's what makes the trust possible.

And what it asks of you

Three things, from your side.

Openness · Honesty · Commitment

Values that only describe the coach are half the picture. Coaching is a partnership, and this is the half you bring. Say no to any of the three and it isn't the right time, which is a fair and useful answer. What that asks in practice.

If that sounds like the right room.

Thirty minutes, one to one, and no pitch at the end of it.
